Greetings Decision maker,
Are you, or someone you know, struggling to cope with depression as we’re transitioning out of the pandemic?
What you or they are going through isn’t as uncommon as you might think. According to a recent study published in JAMA Network Open, depression has been three times higher during this pandemic than it was previously.
This puts more pressure on those who are already worried about, or dissatisfied with, their professional lives. It’s a vicious cycle when we’re all trying to balance our personal and work lives with our mental health.
Fortunately, there are strategies that can help you survive and thrive during the post-pandemic recovery, and you can learn about them in this blog.

“I am fortunate to be on Dr. Gleb’s email list and recently received his White Paper titled: 'How to Defeat Work-From-Home Burnout and Zoom Fatigue.' It inspired me to request he speak (again) at our National Association of Contingency Professionals (ACP) Webinar series. His topics always get the attention of our members and he delivers them with the knowledge and talent of a true professional. In preparing for his presentation, he always ensures that every potential question and potential for disruption are addressed. He is, indeed, a delight to work with and we always welcome his insights.”

What's Up With Me To avoid depression and anxiety in this uncertain time of transitioning to a new normal after the pandemic, I’ve been focusing on enjoying my garden.
Research shows that spending time in nature helps address various mood
disorders. That’s a major reason why I’ve spent a lot of time during the pandemic - a lot more than previously - working on my garden (and my indoor plants during the winter).
It’s tempting to let go of such mood-managing habits as we’re recovering from the pandemic. Indeed, after being fully vaccinated two weeks after my second dose, I thoroughly enjoyed some activities that I didn’t consider worth the risk before getting fully vaccinated, as I shared in my earlier message.
However, I quickly returned to mood-managing activities. After all, this time of adjusting to our new post-pandemic normal is full of uncertainty. It’s understandable that it breeds anxiety and depression. So take whatever steps you need to take care of yourself, whether it’s spending time in nature or other activities described in the blog/videocast/podcast above.
Here's one of the tasty results from my garden: ripe, juicy strawberries.
