Greetings Decision maker
,

It's always exciting to meet leaders who step outside their comfort zones and use new technologies to help their teams thrive in the future of work. One of them is Erin McDannald, CEO at Lighting Environments, and this week I'm excited to share my conversation with
her about using the metaverse for managing remote and hybrid teams.

You can find a transcript of our conversation in this blog.

Dr. Gleb’s presentation definitely exceeded my expectations! Dr. Gleb was brought in to present during a webinar for the ISACA Chapter I am a board member of. His presentation of Decision Making and Risk Management Using Behavioral Science was detailed and engaging for the listeners. Using the breakout rooms in Zoom also helped to open up dialog between everyone on the webinar. I strongly recommend him for anyone looking for an interesting and engaging presentation.

What's Up With Me

As Thanksgiving nears, I realize that I have a lot to be grateful for this year. I’m grateful for my health, which I protect through regular exercise, a good diet, and various supplements. I’m thankful for my family and friends, and especially my wife and business partner, Agnes Vishnevkin. I’m pleased that my relatives in Ukraine are managing reasonably well during the war. I’m happy that my garden is thriving. I’m glad that my business is going well, with over a dozen new clients who I helped with hybrid and remote work arrangements and my articles appearing for the first time in Harvard Business Review and Forbes. What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving season?
Recommendations for You

Here are a few pieces of content that I found valuable and hope you will, too:

  • Empathizing With Future Selves (article) is about effective self-management. We reliably choose immediate short-term rewards at the expense of greater long-term gains, and in the end, we sell our future selves short. To overcome this problem, it helps to empathize with our future selves.
  • “From Nostradamus To Fukuyama” (article) describes how to manage perceptions about your prediction of the future. It talks about how people respond to predictions and how to make predictions yourself that will create the right impressions among others.
  • “Singer and the Noble Lie” (article) discusses the ethics of lying for a good cause.

Hope you find these recommendations helpful!
