Disaster Avoidance Experts

Greetings Decision maker,

As Winter Storm Blair wreaked havoc across the United States, blanketing highways with snow, disrupting power grids, and bringing life-threatening conditions to millions, the absence of leadership in promoting remote work was both perplexing and deeply frustrating. With the storm spanning over 1,500 miles from the Plains to the Mid-Atlantic, affecting more than 60 million people, proactive policies could save lives, reduce economic disruption, and maintain a semblance of normalcy. Yet, federal, state, and local governments, along with many business leaders, remained silent on one of the most obvious solutions: encouraging or mandating remote work.

Testimonial of Alyssa Swenson, Manager of People for Luckett & Farley, for Dr. Gleb Tsipursky

“We have been in a hybrid setting for a couple of years now and we hired Dr. Gleb to assist us with improving our hybrid policy and the hybrid experience and our hybrid culture and workplace within Luckett & Farley. I think it was a really great experience, we talked a lot about different things that I would not have considered before talking with Dr. Gleb. He brought a lot of knowledge from testimonials and different articles and research that he's done from talking with other companies and what they're currently doing. Overall I think it was really helpful because we talked about things that I would not have considered, it definitely forced us to talk more about what's really happening and what we can do to improve within our company. It was a really great experience, I really appreciate the opportunity to work with Dr. Gleb and I'm really glad that we did it.”

What's Up With Me

It was great to spend the holidays with good friends and reflect on what I have to be grateful for right now. To be honest, it’s a lot. I have a wonderful wife and business partner, Agnes Vishnevkin, and I truly can’t ask for anything more in a spouse. I have good mental health, and pretty good physical health as well. I have good friends, ones on whom I can rely and with whom I enjoy spending my time. I love my work, helping people make better decisions and avoid bias in the future of work. I enjoy my house and have a great garden, which I worked to build into its current shape over the last seven years. Even my parents are still in reasonable health. I enjoy regular trips to fun destinations and other forms of enjoyable activities. I wish the rest of my life could just keep going in its current state! But of course, I realize life is fragile, and any of these life areas might develop issues or even experience a disaster. I am committed to trying to take steps to avoid such problems, but sometimes they’re unavoidable. That’s why it’s really important for me right now to be grateful for what I have, and I am. I hope you are grateful, too.
