Greetings Decision Maker,

Integrating generative AI (Gen AI) into organizational workflows offers transformative potential, yet the transition often encounters skepticism and resistance. One effective strategy to mitigate these challenges is leveraging early adopters - team members who enthusiastically embrace new technology - to facilitate communication, boost efficiency, and drive adoption. By empowering these champions, organizations can establish a peer-driven communication model that reduces fear, fosters trust, and accelerates the learning curve.

What's Up With Me

Unfortunately my health news has gotten worse, rather than better, over the last week. First, the procedure that the doctors undertook to deal with my blood clot in my thigh was unsuccessful. They couldn’t extract any of it, it’s too congealed, so they expect it to be there permanently and I will need to be on blood thinners permanently. That means any bump to my head can cause brain bleeding and any blow to my body can cause internal bleeding and either would require me to go to the ER to rule it out, which is a pretty sucky situation. Moreover, my leg will be constantly swollen and in pain due to the blood clot, which is another sucky situation. But that’s not even the worst thing. The worst thing is that the doctors have ruled out a bunch of potential infection causes for my lung lesion. While that might sound good, the reality is that it’s not, because it all increases the likelihood of cancer. Right now, it’s about 60% cancer and 40% all other causes. Moreover, if it’s cancer, it’s very likely to have metastasized. So if it’s cancer, the likely survival is 42 months, 3.5 years. I will do a CT scan in a month to see if the lesion shrank under the impact of antibiotics - if it did, it’s most likely to be an infection, if not the cancer is almost certain. And I’m dealing with all of this while supporting my wife and business partner Agnes going through breast cancer treatment. We’re both in our mid-40s, too young to be dealing with this stuff.
