"We really enjoyed having you and hearing you discuss proximity bias. It was really a worthwhile event and conversation for our panel who really didn't know a great deal about it or a lot of the implications related to it. We really appreciated all the energy and obvious underlying knowledge that you have related to the topic."

What's Up With Me
Thank you to everyone who wrote with kind words and well-wishes after my last update about my deep vein thrombosis and time in emergency care. I’m glad to share that I remain stable at home, on blood thinners, and am continuing to recover carefully while taking this very seriously. Since my diagnosis, I’ve had follow-up conversations with specialists and learned more about what likely contributed to the blood clots. The picture now appears more complex than I first realized: external testosterone likely acted as a trigger, but AI analysis of my medical records and 23andMe data also revealed a hereditary predisposition to blood clots, which my doctors did not previously have access to. That new information has changed my thinking about treatment, and I’m now planning a more conservative approach, including further genetic work-up to understand the situation in more detail. Thankfully, I caught this in time, I’m being treated, and I have a much clearer understanding of what likely happened. And thank you again to AI for contributing this added understanding, which is changing my course of treatment yet again. |
