Greetings Decision maker
,

If you give any leader the opportunity to increase their talent pool of potential employees by 15% – with all these new hires belonging to an underrepresented minority – they’d jump at the chance, especially given tight labor markets and CEO desires to increase headcount. Yet too few leaders realize that, according to the US government, people with disabilities are the largest minority group in this country, with 50 million – 15% of the population – living with disabilities.

Sure, many executives feel concerned by the extra investments involved in providing accommodations for people with disabilities. Yet these accommodations might not involve anything besides full-time remote work, according to a new study by the Economic Innovation Group think tank.

"For several months now, I've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Gleb, and I've been thoroughly impressed with all of the articles that he has submitted to The TASA Group’s Knowledge Center. From those articles, I've asked him to present a webinar for us, and Dr. Gleb presented a webinar called “Addressing Bias in Legal Cases Using Behavioral Science.” The webinar was amazing, he got rave reviews from the 197 attorneys that attended that presentation. I know that the takeaway for his presentation was amazing, the attorneys wrote in to me and they were telling me that it was a great presentation. So if you're interested in having Dr. Gleb help you with work from home strategies or addressing bias in legal cases, definitely definitely definitely reach out to him. Dr. Gleb is amazing, he knows his stuff, and is very professional. Thank you Dr. Gleb for all of your help, all of your knowledge, and for being willing to send in those articles and present that webinar. Thank you!"

What's Up With Me

I just returned from a two-week workcation in Central and Southern California. Unfortunately  my wife and I brought Columbus weather with us, as it was mostly gray and rainy in the LA area when we visited it.

The silver lining of all this rain was that the drought in California was reduced by all the  precipitation. However, the benefits were uneven; some localities made out better than others. Why? One major reason was that some localities built infrastructure meant to capture any rainwater and store it for drier times. Other localities did not, resulting in the water flowing into rivers and then into the ocean. It made me think about ways I can be more like the localities that wisely invested into rain-capturing infrastructure, despite the fact that the drought made rain more rare. After all, when it rains, it pours! So what can you do to prepare yourself to take advantage of rare opportunities right now, so that when the opportunity comes by, you’re ready to seize it?

Here is a photo of the Venice Canals in Los Angeles, where we took a walk during a break in the rain.
