What’s Up With Me
Finally, my super-busy August is over. I’ve just completed facilitating an all-day strategic retreat for a software company with over 500 employees and two half-day trainings during the last week of August; the prior week, I did three half-day
events.
And these were all virtual. Yikes! Zoom fatigue is a real thing. It’s much more draining to do training and facilitation virtually than in-person. In person, I get energy from engaging with other people and seeing them respond to me. I can see the light go on in their eyes, or a discomfort expressed in body posture, telling me to address a certain topic in more depth. Can’t do that virtually, unfortunately.
I’m looking forward to a much-needed break. I know I said that before, when I didn’t have these last-minute events come up. My first two weeks in September have “only” five webinars, and those aren’t longer than
two hours each, so it shouldn’t be too bad. I think I can relax. And I hope you’re dealing well with any Zoom fatigue you’re experiencing. The article, video, and podcast above should be able to help you do so well.
