Greetings Decision maker,

In 2025, a growing number of major employers are mandating full-time returns to the office, including Amazon, Dell, Goldman Sachs, the federal government, and many others. Despite this trend, a comprehensive May 2025 report from the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office (GAO), titled "Telework: Private Sector Stakeholder and Expert Views," presents compelling evidence that these return-to-office (RTO) mandates may be misguided.

The GAO's findings highlight that, when implemented with best practices, remote work offers significant benefits for both employers and employees. These include enhanced talent attraction and retention, cost savings, and increased productivity. Moreover, challenges such as building organizational culture and tracking work hours are solvable, with existing guidance from agencies like the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) providing clear frameworks for compliance. The GAO's report underscores an unignorable reality: telework, implemented thoughtfully, enriches both employers and employees.

Testimonial for Dr. Gleb Tsipursky for Institute of Internal Auditors Kansas City Chapter Talk

“I hired Dr. Gleb to speak to our local Institute of Internal Auditors chapter here in the Kansas City metro area. His presentation was engaging, informative, and I've received great feedback from our members thus far, and the presentation only ended recently. It's been a pleasure working with Dr. Gleb. His professional preparation, his extensive preparation, and his ability to communicate effectively, really, really paid off for the chapter and for the work that we've engaged him to do. So I really cannot recommend working with Dr. Gleb enough.”

What's Up With Me

Over the weekend I visited the mother of a friend who recently moved into a retirement community. It was an interesting experience, as I’ve never seen the inside of one before. My cultural heritage (Ukrainian) involves family members keeping the elderly at home: my mother took care of my grandfather until he died, despite his clear senility and her busy work schedule as a medical doctor. However, after visiting this retirement community I think it’s a much better option. My friend’s mother lives in a safe environment with access to a variety of on-site amenities and socializing opportunities and medical support as needed. She gets to keep her cat and lives in a nice, small apartment by herself. And her son (my close friend) doesn’t have to bear the strain of having her move in with him and his wife. It made me think that I would enjoy living in a place like that once I’m no longer able to navigate the stairs and other aspects of managing my current home. Of course, I’d really miss my garden, so hopefully I’ll be able to move to a place that offers a community garden where I can continue to grow my favorite vegetables.
