What's Up With Me
I was fortunate to recover from my bout with COVID in time for New Year’s Eve, when my wife and I host a dinner almost every year. It was a fun time: I made khachapuri (also known as Georgian cheese boat, referring to the country, not the state), and bought some Ukrainian food. It’s the only holiday when my wife and I truly celebrate our heritage, although this year, of course, was a much darker year than typical holiday celebrations, given the terrible situation in Ukraine. I hope my relatives there are safe and sound. Still, New Year’s Eve at my house was a lovely holiday celebration and a good way to welcome 2023. Let’s hope this new year brings an end to the devastating war in Ukraine.
