Greetings Decision Maker,
With a recent Pew Research report showing that 50% of Americans are more concerned than excited about AI, and only 10% more excited than concerned, employers who want employees to learn AI skills have a tough slog ahead. Here's an idea: if you want employees to adopt generative AI, put them in a room, give them real data, and require working demos by the end of the sprint.

“We hired Dr. Gleb to assist us with improving our hybrid policy and the hybrid experience and our hybrid culture and workplace within Luckett & Farley. I think it was a really great experience, we talked a lot about different things that I would not have considered before talking with Dr. Gleb. He brought a lot of knowledge from testimonials and different articles and research that he's done from talking with other companies and what they're currently doing. Overall I think it was really helpful because we talked about things that I would not have considered, it definitely forced us to talk more about what's really happening and what we can do to improve within our company. It was a really great experience, I really appreciate the opportunity to work with Dr. Gleb and I'm really glad that we did it."

What's Up With Me
|

It's been nice to enjoy a few sunny days in Arizona, escaping from the snowy weather of Columbus to a high of 72 degrees. But I did discover a surprising problem when I was driving on a highway in Phoenix after presenting an AI adoption training session to a group of local executives. I had my phone in a dashboard phone holder, navigating by GPS while listening to an audiobook. Suddenly, the book cut off, and when I glanced at my phone screen it was blank. Now, I can live without the audiobook’s edutainment, but no GPS was a serious problem. I tried to turn my phone (Google Pixel) back on, but it wouldn’t do so. It also felt pretty hot to the touch. I started to suspect it might have turned off due to overheating, but I also thought it was unlikely, given that this is the middle of January. Still, I took it out of the phone holder and out of the way of direct sunlight, but it still wouldn't turn back on. Finally, I decided that I needed to get off the highway, and I pulled over into a motel parking lot. I even opened my laptop and tried to sign into the motel wifi to pull up directions back to my motel, but the wifi was password protected. I was just about ready to go to the motel front desk and ask them for the password and pay if needed, but on when I gave my phone one last try it finally turned on. Whew! There was a notification that it turned off due to overheating, confirming my suspicion. I don’t know what kind of sun they have out here in Phoenix to have this happen in the middle of January, but here's a pro tip: keep your phone out of direct sunlight while driving! This is definitely a lesson I won’t forget. |
