Greetings Decision maker
,

Surveys show that anywhere from two-thirds to three-quarters of all employers intend to have a hybrid workforce after the pandemic as part of their return to office plan. Many of these employers also intend to permit employees to work fully remotely if the employees wish to do so and can demonstrate a high level of effectiveness and productivity. Retaining your employees, boosting their productivity, and making them more engaged and less stressed makes a hybrid model with some remote options an example of wise decision-making. But how do you transition to this model as you return to the office?

Check out this blog for actionable steps.

“As the Learning Chair for Entrepreneur's Organization, I brought on Dr. Gleb to teach us entrepreneurs about how to best mitigate the issues caused by Covid-19. The presentation was very useful and everyone involved was highly engaged throughout the entire virtual learning event. He proved himself to be very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions - which was extremely valuable to our members.”

Recent Public Appearances

You might find of interest a number of recent public appearances about my three recent best-selling books:

What's Up With Me

Well, as you might have heard, my beating the drum for the last few weeks about the need even for vaccinated people to take serious precautions due to the danger of the Delta variant has now been backed by the CDC. They’re now recommending that vaccinated people wear masks at indoor public settings. Better late than never.

While the Delta variant surge is slated to peak in mid-late Fall, I’ve also been watching new variants with concern. The Delta Plus variant, for example, appears to be just as infectious and deadly as Delta, but more able to escape vaccines. It might well become the next surging variant after Delta.

It’s time to reconsider how we think about what’s normal. These waves of variants may define our future for the next few years at least. That requires us to overcome our natural reluctance to hear and accept negative information - a cognitive bias called the ostrich effect - and instead internalize that the pandemic will still be here for a long time.

While that’s depressing and even traumatic, I’m glad I can rely on the new habits and activities that I developed over the last 17 months of the pandemic. For example, I will be doing more gardening once again and less public activities. Here are some tomatoes and ground cherries I harvested from my garden a couple of days ago.

Recommendations for You

Do follow the new CDC guidelines and wear a mask in public indoor places. And convince your vaccine-hesitant cousin Louie to get the shot. Consider using these tips on how to talk to science deniers without arguing to help you do so.

Help Me Serve Your Needs

What kind of model do you plan to adopt in return to office planning and why? How can you most effectively educate lower-level team leaders on best practices in returning to the office? What will you do differently based on this article/video/podcast?

Would love to get your feedback! Helping you avoid dangerous threats and missed opportunities is my highest aspiration. Any feedback you can provide on this content - or anything else - will help me provide you with more value for your success.

Decisively Yours,
