Greetings Decision Maker,
As organizations adopt Gen AI to streamline operations, develop products, or enhance customer interactions, the inevitable side effect among employees is anxiety. Will jobs vanish? Will expectations shift overnight? Can they keep up with the learning curve? These questions aren't just whispers in the break room; they're front and center for many teams. To navigate these waters, businesses must create open forums where employees feel safe sharing their anxieties and seeking clarity.

"I want to express my sincere appreciation for the training that Dr. Gleb put together for our group as a train-the-trainer on hybrid work. We found it really valuable! Especially two of the key areas for us were the way that it provided some very practical advice on how to operationalize hybrid work and train our supervisors on the approach related to that, as well as the insights related to data. And really connecting that and laying a foundation for our supervisors to really understand the impact that hybrid work is having and the way that the best practices are supported based on the research and the studies that are currently happening. We took a lot from it and just really appreciate the investment and the time."

What's Up With Me
I had an awesome experience in Key Largo, where my wife (and business partner) Agnes and I spent a few days after giving a presentation on AI adoption to executives in Jupiter, FL. We went on a snorkeling tour with a marine biologist, which was a fun experience, but not the truly awesome one. The snorkeling tour was definitely worthwhile: we went snorkeling right by the shore in a small lagoon with mangroves. The marine biologist snorkeled with us and told us about the critters and mollusks that live in the lagoon and on and around the mangrove roots.
The awesome experience happened at the end of our snorkeling tour, after we got out of the water and were getting ready to leave. Namely, a manatee swam right into the small lagoon and was floating right by the dock. We were able to walk out and get super-close to the manatee! We could have literally reached out and touched it (if it wasn’t illegal to do so). We snapped a few photos, but they don’t quite convey the true scale of this animal. Adult manatees are usually 9-10 feet in length, 3-4 feet wide, and weigh up to 1200 pounds, and this one was not far from that. I rarely use the word awesome to describe natural phenomena - they are interesting, engaging, and so on to me, but not awesome - yet this one was different. It was truly awesome to see a large adult manatee in the wild, choosing to swim into the lagoon, and then hanging out right by the dock for almost 10 minutes, giving us plenty of time to ogle at it, take photos, and be impressed by its grandiosity. I still hope to experience being in the water with a manatee and really wish it visited the lagoon 20 minutes earlier when we were still snorkeling! Oh well, it gives us a reason to go back. |
