Greetings Decision Maker,

Organizations worldwide are navigating the transformative potential of generative AI (Gen AI), but the key to unlocking its true value lies in human-centered implementation. One of the most effective approaches to ensure success is to invite employees to participate in Gen AI pilot programs. These programs provide a structured and collaborative environment to evaluate new technologies before full-scale deployment, combining technical rigor with human insight to maximize impact.

"We had the pleasure of co-hosting a webinar that was presented by Dr. Gleb. He presented his research in a thoughtful and engaging way. He engaged with his attendees. He also gave them the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback at the end of the webinar. As a result, the survey feedback that we received following Dr. Gleb's presentation was resoundingly positive. If you have the opportunity to work with Dr. Gleb, whether as a presenter or consultant in your organization, I highly recommend it."

What's Up With Me

The latest turn in my medical Dr. House miniseries is that one of my sputum cultures is now growing a non-tuberculous mycobacterium, or NTM, a TB-related but non-contagious organism that may explain the cavitary lesion in my right lung. That is genuinely better news than where things stood a week ago, when the lack of an identified infection, the fluid around my lung, the “atypical cells” in that fluid, and my severe left-leg blood clot had pushed the medical concern for cancer as high as around 55%, with a 3.5 year survival rate for the most likely cancer candidate. The current medical working estimate is now roughly 60-65% true NTM infection and about 25% cancer, which is better but still serious, as if it’s cancer, the survival rate is still 3.5 years. The next phase is slow: the lab needs to identify the exact NTM species, then send the sample to Mayo Clinic for drug sensitivity testing, so it may take 2-3 months before a final treatment plan starts, followed by CT scans to see whether the lung lesion shrinks. Even the best case still leaves my blood clot situation unresolved, with likely permanent leg damage and long-term blood thinners, while the harder scenarios include harsh long-term antibiotics, IV treatment, or cancer workup and treatment if the infection lead turns out to be a dead end. Meanwhile, Agnes is still moving through her own cancer treatment path after a failed lumpectomy with not all cancer removed, with another surgery scheduled before radiation. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, offered help, checked in, or sent support. Agnes set up a care support page for those who have asked how to help.
