Greetings Decision maker,
In the corporate jungle, a crisis of silence brews. It’s not about profit margins or market shares, but something far more critical – the tug-of-war between CEOs and their employees over the return to the office (RTO). The core question echoes in empty corridors: are leaders tuning into their employees’ voices?
Recent surveys paint a startling picture. A recent study by Eagle Hill Consulting found that a mere 31% of employees felt their preferences for remote and hybrid work were sought by their organizations. In turn, CBRE finds that a shocking 81% of respondents to their survey say leadership expectations and employee behavior on flexible work are out of sync. And the vast majority of the organizations where the leadership expectations and employee behavior are aligned are smaller organizations that have less than 6 million sq. ft. of office space, meaning that the largest organizations have the most disconnect.

“I contacted Dr. Gleb to talk to him about our company, the growth that we're experiencing, and the need to expand our capacity as a management team. He helped us understand the concept of biases and how we all have them, whether we're aware of them or not, and that generally we're unaware of them. It's stimulated growth within all of us, as we're all focused on being exceptional in what we do, but have to recognize that there were areas where we were not performing as exceptionally as we thought we were. Dr. Gleb's personal interest in each one of us has been exceptional: the one-on-one coaching helped us to open
up to how these biases and other aspects that we're bringing to our jobs as managers of this company are not benefiting ourselves or the company or the people we're working with. It's kind of like working out in the gym, if you've got a workout buddy that expects you to be there then you generally go and you do the workout. And so Dr. Gleb has been that workout buddy that keeps us mentally focused on growing our abilities, not kicking the can down the road. That has really stimulated us all to push a little bit harder and recognize that as a team we're going to be much more effective if we put in that hard work today to be better tomorrow, and it's already showing. That's why I would recommend Dr. Gleb and his services for helping any management team to recognize and understand how biases impact their decision-making and how they can overcome that and become a more effective and functional team.”

What's Up With Me
Very excited to help out Norpac Fisheries Export with facilitating their strategic planning next week, and to travel to their HQ in Honolulu, Hawaii, as part of that engagement. It’s my second visit there, after helping Norpac with their initial strategic planning in March 2024, after which its leader Tom Kraft shared the testimonial above (and also gifted some delicious fish).
I’m really looking forward to visiting Hawaii again: Agnes, my wife and business partner, came with me in March, and we visited the Big Island, with its Volcanoes National Park, as well as O’ahu, the island where Honolulu is located. This time, we’re planning to go to O’ahu and then Maui. It’s a privilege and a thrill to travel to such an exotic, beautiful destination, and to get myself out of my comfort zone. While I don’t like the process of traveling, I really enjoy experiencing new destinations, especially since Agnes and I came up with a bucket list of places to visit. Hawaii is high on the list, but of course, it’s not about a checklist, it’s about really taking in the place. Agnes told me about a friend of hers who sometimes drives a
few hours out of her way just to visit a state to check it off her list of visiting all fifty. That’s not my cup of tea. My bucket list is not about checking something off, but about taking the time to experience the locale. For example, here’s a photo of me inside the Kīlauea Crater on the Big Island. How do you approach traveling?
